Today I recieved this beautiful bag in pink. Since everyone has seen those photos of it,I thought I'd post some different close-ups with a little explanation. On the right, a close up of the logo embroidered on her left foot. The jewel appears to only be glued on, so it will probably fall off eventually, while the logo itself will probably live on for a long time.
Her eyes are not as solidly red as I had originally thought - only the very center is deep red, the rest is hot pink. Her eyelashes are embroidered on. The eyes themselves are definitely set deep into the head, and won't fall out because of mere rough handling. You can see the edge of the hood there, as she's actually a bear in disguise. I'll still call her bunny though!
Side view of her face. The nose isn't as pointy as a bunny's would be, which is not really a surprise since as I said, she's really a bear. Her fur is very very soft to the touch and
she's quite huggable. On the back of her neck is a metal loop which the backpack straps hook onto. This seems pretty sturdy and won't rip out easily. The straps also hook onto a loop on each side of the body, near the legs. This means you can completely remove the straps and use her just
as a stuffed animal if you wish! (Good if you plan on sleeping with her (^_~)) I'm impressed, actually,
as my white pleather (leather?) bunny's straps are sewn on (and somewhat poorly at that). The bunny's biggest drawback is her inability to hold much. The zipper at the back opens to reveal a pocket that extends into her stomach, which doesn't hold as much as it might due to the fact that she is quite fully stuffed. This makes her more like stuffed animal than a purse, which is good or bad depending on why you wanted her in the first place. I was hoping to have an animal purse that I could hug and cuddle during travel so she works for that - I'll put most of my important items in another bag (^^;) Overall I'm glad I had the luck to get her (she was only available because someone had canceled their order) and she'll be traveling with me in future, most likely!
